Some like it hot!

Night after night, Brianne Nelson has fantasized about a sexy stranger
she met at the cafe where she works part-time. Never in her wildest
dreams did she imagine that he'd turn out to be a client for her "real"
job, as a physical therapist - or how much better Jake would look with
his clothes off!
Thanks to his wealthy sister, injured detective Jake Lowell is the
recipient of Brianne's personal services for the next month. Determined
to get well enough to go after the guy who shot him, Jake is in
desperate need of Brianne's healing touch. But when the "therapy"
sessions evolve into something a little steamier, Jake and Brianne are
in for a reality that makes their hottest fantasies look like child's
play.
Though not a "Simply" book, Body Heat is related to the Simply series by connecting characters!

Reviews
"Get ready for a scorching read because BODY HEAT sizzles! This
is my first Carly Phillips book and, after reading this book, I'm asking myself why I haven't read more of her. From the moment Jake and Brianne see each other across the cafe, the sexual tension is intense. The story finished much too soon for me because I wanted more time with the characters. The characters are riveting and I could picture each scene as I read it. I understood Jake's determination to bring in the villain and Brianne's fear when she found out she was in danger just being around Jake. This was my first Blaze book, but after reading Ms. Phillips' wonderful story, I'm eager to search out the others in my TBR. Don't miss BODY HEAT! It's the newest addition to my keeper shelf."

"If the summer's not hot enough for you, pick up Carly Phillips' newest Blaze title, Body Heat. Phillips has created a page-turner in BODY HEAT, playing on the suspense of the threatening criminal at large. While this is not a new vehicle for upping the stakes, she makes it work. In fact, many elements in the book are predictable, from the evil drug dealer to the gruff lecturing detectives at the station house. The most creative element of the story is Norton the dog, who does "his business" on command. Strangely enough, it is this predictably which makes the story so comforting. We know the bad guy's gonna get it in the end and the hero will win the girl."

"Ms. Phillips has once more delivered on a hot promise. Nothing is more romantic than two strangers whose eyes meet across a room, nor more potentially cliched. There is nothing usual about BODY HEAT. The characters are fully developed with room to grow and the desire to overcome their respective pasts. The passion shimmers on each page and the love scenes... I would recommend having the air conditioner on while reading them! Most important, Ms. Phillips keeps the romance front and center, making this reader care enough to want that happy ending. Well done."~Karen Larsen, Scribes World (5 stars!)
"Carly Phillips blazes into the new Harlequin Blaze line with BODY HEAT! The steam literally rises off the pages when a waitress/physical therapist moves in with her latest patient—a divorced wounded cop, giving new meaning to "hands on" healing. The action heats up (both plot and relationship wise) when a drug dealer tries to retaliate against them and this couple decides to take a little R & R in a penthouse roof's whirlpool. Watch the bubbles and emotions churn into love in this fantastic sensual tale!"
