Kismet – A Serendipity Novella – eBook ONLY

Long Lost Love and Second Chances

Elisabetta Gardelli thought she’d spend her days serving coffee and writing obits for the town paper until an unexpected opportunity results in her dream job as a journalist. Now, divorced and determined to make it on her own, Lissa is hired to do a series of interviews about entrepreneurs who’ve made their mark at an impressively young age. First up? Wall Street mogul Trevor Dane — Lissa’s first love. Lissa hasn’t seen Trevor since he left the small town of Serendipity to earn his spot on the right side of the tracks. Ten years have passed but neither has really moved from their super-passionate teenage affair – or the heartbreak that followed. This reunion can be their second chance or it can provide much needed closure. It all depends on Trevor. Can he forgive Lissa or will the past continue to stand in their way?

Reviews

This short story has the emotional PUNCH of  a full length book.  KISMET is a sweet, sexy addition to the SERENDIPITY series and leaves you feeling like you read a full length book instead of a novella.  There are tidbits about the residents of SERENDIPITY, but not a lot, most of KISMET takes place out of town, but enough to satisfy me until DESTINY comes out on 1/3/12.”  4 ½ STARS – Didi

Guilty Pleasures Reviews

Carly Phillips writes an outstanding short story about love, heartbreak and forgiveness. It was more than enjoyable to read. Kismet was well written and I didn’t feel cheated out of a story because it was short. It started and ended in a way that is unforgettable and all of it was actually wrapped up perfectly. Phillips has a special way of making you fall in love with her characters. Kismet was really a special treat to the Serendipity series and I can’t wait to continue on reading. This is a must buy for all those who believe a happily ever after can actually happen.

Lush Book Reviews

I absolutely adored this story! It’s a short one, but it packs quite a punch in the small time we have with Lissa and Trevor. Although the story takes place over just a few short days, it feels like there is so much more going on. The short story packs an emotional punch and the tension between Lissa and Trevor starts strong and simmers until it finally explodes. There is a wonderful smexy scene that is not only hot but very heartfelt as well.

All in all Kismet is a wonderful novella to add to the Serendipity series. The connection between Lissa and Trevor is unmistakable and their romance was quick and yet so sweet and romantic. Fans of Phillips and the Serendipity series will want to make sure they get their hands on this novella!
I give Kismet an A.

The Book Pushers

Kismet was extremely well written and enjoyable. Sometimes when reading a novella I am unsatisfied and feel as if the storyline just wasn’t enough. I did not feel that way at all while reading Kismet and it’s because Carly Phillips did such a great job writing it. It was interesting from start to finish and you can’t help but love Lissa and Trevor after you’re done reading it.
