Dare To Seduce

There are two things that I always expect from a Carly Phillips novel. A good story and a HOT read. I received an ARC of Dare to Seduce in exchange for an honest review. The fact that it was a Dare story put my mind at ease. Her Dare family consists of stories that are not only sexy reads but have substance behind the characters and their wicked sex appeal. I liked Lucy and Max together. Lucy was a temptation that festered in Max's soul. Lucy was by no means a wide-eyed innocent but I think everyone underestimated her as a person. She was more than sweet helpless Lucy and I believe that is what she liked about Max. He was controlling and forced her out of her comfort zone. With Dare to Seduce Carly Phillips pushed boundaries but she did it to give a better understanding of her characters and that is what I found riveting.

This one felt rushed and all over the place. Really surprising for her Dare series as all the previous ones I found were very well written and captivating storyline. But this one I found lacked the anticipation and fun aspects of dating. Still a decent read!

When she shows up with a guy that no one likes, Max makes a play for her. Will it be too late, will he risk his friendship. Can they'd work through their pasts. Lucy and Max have great love,friendship, and chemistry. Carly Phillips has again makes you love her characters. She has again intertwined many of the Characters from her other books in this series into this book yet this is a standalone book.
