***ARC Provided by the Author*** 3.5 Stars I loved the way Chloe and Beck met, it was the perfect way to introduce a couple of people who really, at least according to others, shouldn't be with one another. But, right from the start, there is something between them that clearly makes Beck want to care for and protect Chloe. And, that instinct is the reason he feels he can't be with her, because doing so will mean telling her the secret of the reason he is no longer friends with her brother, and it would mean telling her something unpleasant about her brother. I loved how honorable Beck is, even if it means he doesn't get what he wants. I actually really liked all of the characters, even Linc when he was being controlling and a little overbearing. And, it's liking the characters that made this a fun book for me. I wanted to see Chloe and Beck get their happy ending, and Linc and Beck to be friends again, as I did care about each of the characters. I enjoyed and recommend this title.

4.5⭐ Just One Scandal the second in The Kingston Family series is quite possibly my favourite Carly Phillips book ever!!! As not only is Beckett Daniels the perfect book boyfriend, but this story had all the feels. Not to mention off the charts chemistry, a compelling rivalry and a touch of heartache. And with a few familiar faces, and some new ones too, I was completely hooked, and can't wait to read Xander's story next. Chloe and Beck's story packs a solid emotional punch. The book has a storyline that is a blend of fun and very serious. While I thought it was a good read, in the spirit of complete honestly I'll admit that for me personally it was also a bit of a challenge. I refuse to give spoilers but certain elements of this story hit too close to home for me and that forced me out my reading headspace and back into the harshness of reality. Still a very good read but it was a tough one for me personally. This is my candid, volitional review.
