About this ebook

Do the job. Take the money and run. Until, in a flash, love changes everything.

In retrospect, Ben Callahan should have known this job was trouble.

Way more than his normal P.I. fee and unlimited expenses, just to watch over one woman and report back? Alarm bells should have sent him running back to New York. But with his Mom needing assisted living care, Ben takes Emma Montgomery’s tempting offer to watch over her granddaughter.

Then he meets Grace, a golden-haired princess. Gifted, gorgeous, reckless. And a serious threat to his sanity as well as his libido.

Determined to prove she can support herself with her camera, Grace Montgomery hasn’t touched her trust fund in months. It’s a struggle, but she’s free—free of stifling small-town society, free to do what she wants. And right now, she wants to explore her long-repressed sexuality with her hot new neighbor.

As Grace sheds her inhibitions faster than a high-speed shutter, Ben finds himself breaking his own rules for a woman full of unexpected secrets and thousand-watt sensuality. But when Grace discovers who’s signing Ben’s paycheck, her heart could be too broken for his love to repair.

Note: This title was originally published in 2001 by Harlequin Temptation, Blaze. It appears here in its original glory, without substantial revision.

Simply Sensual, book three in the Simply series, by Carly Phillips, is an enjoyable read and one of the many early books of hers that I read and re-read. This re-release has been modernized, updated and expanded. This is a story with a humorous bend, a bit of intrigue and suspense; not quite the current, hot and sizzling books she writes. Emma Montgomery was concerned about granddaughter, Grace, who fled to New York. She wanted to make sure she was alright since she wasn’t using her trust fund and had become independent, if possible, too independent and pursuing her love of photography. Hiring Ben, a PI, to keep tabs on Grace, would give Emma some relief; not to mention a chance to do a little matchmaking. Moving into an apartment across the hall from Grace, Ben gets to know her a bit better and notices the magnetism and chemistry building between them, almost from the first meeting. Grace runs Ben ragged with her shenanigans and locations for photo shoots, which could possibly put her in danger and attracting some major unwanted attention. It might be difficult for some to create a relationship built upon lies, family interference, attraction, romance, sizzling chemistry, intrigue, and danger; but Ben and Grace just might be the couple to pull this off. Ms. Phillips wrote a wonderful, humorous and sweet story that will pull at your heartstrings and is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, amusing banter, and charming characters in order for Grace and Ben to find their own happily ever after. I highly recommend Simply Sensual to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Simply Sensual the third in Ms Phillips reissued Simply Series was a delightful read. That once again features Emma Montgomery and her matchmaking skills but this time its PI Ben and her granddaughter Grace who are the targets of her well-meaning plot. And with a lovely mix of sweetness, heat, angst and danger Simply Sensual was entertaining and engaging to read; and a great addition to what has been a wonderful series so far. Would recommend. **Copy provided via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review**

Simply Sensual is the third book in the reissued Simply Series by Carly Phillips. It's another great addition to this series. Grace Montgomery wants to make something of herself without the family name. She's working as a photographer in NYC and also is working with children who are less fortunate, wanting to give back. When Grace goes radio silent on her brother, Logan, and her grandmother, Emma, her grandmother starts to worry and takes matters into her own hands. She hires a private investigator. Ben Callahan is the private investigator Emma hires to keep tabs on her granddaughter. Ben certainly isn't into being a babysitter, but given the money being offered for the job and the pretty woman he would be protecting, he isn't able to say no. Plus, it's going to allow him to move his mom into a health care facility she desperately needs. With Ben now Grace's "new neighbor", thanks to Emma, the two of them get to know one another and while Ben knows getting involved is a bad idea, he may not be able to resist. Grace knows just how to get to him and he's having a more difficult time than ever fighting the attraction. When Grace finds out Emma's involvement, will she be able to forgive both her grandmother and Ben? Definitely an enjoyable read and one I'd recommend.
